MakeOffices Clarendon is Here! 7 Neighborhood Spots We Love

Posted May 11, 2016 by office

We’re coming for you, Clarendon! On June 1st, our 10th and newest coworking space in Arlington, Virginia officially opens its doors. At 40,000-square-feet, this new community will be our largest open location in the DC area, supporting our goal of providing runway for rapidly growing companies to expand. Positioned at the intersection of Clarendon and Washington Boulevard at the heart of the neighborhood’s entertainment and shopping district, our community will provide members with boundless opportunities to make the most of the surrounding area.

What makes Clarendon the perfect place for our newest coworking community? The area is known to have a walkable urban village atmosphere with easy access to a diverse mix of restaurants, rooftop bars, restaurants, retail stores, and grocery stores. All roads in Arlington County lead to and from Clarendon, and the area is home to many young entrepreneurs and high-achieving professionals who will now have the opportunity to network and grow their businesses at MakeOffices.

For our members and visitors who may not know the area well, we’ve compiled a list of recommendations for restaurants, bars, and go-to hangouts. To gather the best insights, we asked MakeOffices team members (and proud Clarendon residents!) for some of their favorite local spots.

Reid Fetters, Director of Design and Construction, who has been living in the Arlington area for over three years, recommends Liberty Tavern for its happy hour specials, Lyon Hall for its delicious french cuisine, and Endo Sushi, located just steps away from MakeOffices Clarendon, runs in the family for one of our co-founders, Chris Junior. The restaurant, which has an expansive sushi selection and as well as popular Japanese dishes, is owned and managed by Chris’ mother.

David Jung from our Digital Marketing Team recommends Oby Lee’s crepes for any meal of the day. The restaurant has any crepe you could imagine, from crepes benedict for breakfast to Chicken Fajita crepes and nutella crepes for dessert!

Bruno Vega from our Design and Construction Team recommends Four Sisters Vietnamese Restaurant, one of his favorite spots in the Clarendon area. For the atmosphere and great drink specials, Bruno also suggests Don Tito.

These hotspots are just a few of the great dining options in the Clarendon area that will be easily accessible to our MakeOffices members. And the restaurant options are just the tip of the iceberg of offerings in the neighborhood – the convenient retail, grocery shopping, entertainment and even housing options nearby make the area a desirable place to be.

We’re excited for our members and visitors to make the most of Clarendon. If you think the community and its surrounding area is the right fit for your business, stop by our newest location, and book a tour today!

What really makes Clarendon the best location for our next coworking space? According to MakeOffices CEO Raymond Rahbar,

“It helps when you live across the street.”
